The Wild Vault is a small Australian shop. We'd rather stock a few things properly than a hundred badly.
We're based in Victoria. We answer the emails, we sort the problems, and if something goes wrong you'll be talking to a person rather than a queue.
Where this came from
This shop is not the first thing we built.
It started a long time ago in a grow room, in a community that had to look after its own — people swapping what they'd learned the hard way so the next person didn't have to learn it the same way. Someone answering a message at 2am about a deficiency. Someone posting their failures next to their wins.
We've fought for this plant. We've done the hard yards, in years when doing them cost you something. That chapter closed, and we started again from the soil up.
But that's the thing about this plant, and the people who love it — cut it back and it overgrows. It finds the gap. It comes back over the fence.
So we came back as The Wild Vault. Rooted in Fire. Grown for Freedom. If you know, you know.
The podcast studio came next, and the community kept growing around it — same instinct, new ground.
We keep doing it because this plant is a beautiful thing and it can't speak for itself. Someone has to. That's the debt the whole thing is built on, and it's still how we operate: the answering happens in the open, where the next person can find it. None of it is gated and none of it is upsold.
WildRoot Cultivars
WildRoot Cultivars — WRC — is a separate outfit, and it came out of that same community. They make the clothing. We're the only place you can buy it.
So when you see WRC on a tee here, that's the label, not the shop. Two different things that happen to share a history and a set of opinions.
What the prints actually mean
The clothing isn't merch. It says things we believe, printed where people can read them.
Free the Plant. Access, legalisation, and the right to grow your own. It's on the shirts because it's the point — not the aesthetic.
Drop the Stigma. Growers aren't criminals. Patients aren't addicts. We're going to keep saying it until it's boring.
Respect to Country. We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land we live and work on, and their continuing connection to it.
Buy a tee and you're putting the message in front of whoever walks past you that day. That's the entire idea.
How the clothing is made
Our clothing is made to order. When you buy a tee, it gets printed for you in the United States and shipped from there — which is why it takes up to 30 days rather than a couple of days.
We're upfront about that because the trade is worth it. Nothing sits in a warehouse, nothing gets binned at the end of a season, and we're not guessing sizes months ahead and eating the ones we got wrong. For a shop this size it's the difference between making clothing and gambling on it.
Accessories and grow gear are different — we hold those here and they go out of Victoria in a day or two.
What's here
Clothing. Tees, hoodies, trackies and the rest of the uniform. Priced so the people in this community can actually afford it.
Accessories & Grow Gear. Tools we use ourselves — clone shippers, LST clips, glassware, everyday carry.
The Cultivators Club. The other side of the house. Heavier, darker, made in small numbers. Where the rest of the shop is loud, the Club is quiet. Members only.
No shortcuts
We're not the biggest and we're not trying to be. We'd rather make less of something good and stand behind it than push volume and hope nobody looks closely.
