That's the joke. It's also not a joke.

Have a proper look at what's actually going on in the picture. Nobody's on the couch. There's a bloke in a bucket hat with snips in his hand, working a plant in a room that's spotless — lights level, airflow running, pots up off the floor, nothing where it shouldn't be. On the wall, a checklist. Temperature. Humidity. Watering. Nutrients. Airflow. pH. Plant health. And underneath it, the only instruction that's ever mattered:

DON'T GUESS. MEASURE.

Now check the controller. 26°C. 55% RH. 1.2 kPa.

Those numbers aren't set dressing. Run them properly — 26 degrees, 55 percent, with the normal couple of degrees of leaf-to-air differential — and the VPD lands right where that screen says it does. Somebody who actually grows drew this.

That's what high standards means around here. Not how it feels. What you can prove.

Twenty-five years in, the growers still standing aren't the ones with the loudest gear or the biggest claims. They're the ones who write it down. Who cull the plant that didn't perform, no matter how much they wanted to keep it. Who keep the room clean when there's nobody around to see it.

300gsm pure cotton. Heavyweight and properly opaque — it hangs off the shoulder instead of clinging, and it comes out of the wash the same shirt that went in. Drop shoulder with a boxy body, so it sits loose through the chest and falls straight rather than tapering. Ribbed round neck that holds its shape.

4. Iron low — never directly on the print
5. Do not dry clean

Wash it inside out and it'll outlive the trend cycle.

A note on batches

Small variations between batches are normal — temperature, humidity and material lots all move the needle slightly. We chase these down as tight as we can, but a shirt made by people in the real world will never be identical to the one before it. We reckon that's a feature.
